Walking (Kind Of)

Please excuse the jams we have her wearing (culottes?), she is a goofy size right now where pants that fit her waist are too short, and things the appropriate length are too loose...

Anyway, she can take a few steps on her own now! She can also take many, many steps while holding someone's hand. It's so cute to see her walking around with her daddy. She seems to be enjoying this new perspective on the world, but still reverts to crawling when she needs to get from A to B as quickly as possible.

We're excited to be moving just in time for this new phase of her development, since it will be much easier to keep tabs on her the way the new house is laid out, with a very open great room. I was also just thinking about the fact that it is pretty likely that Lucy will have little or no memory of her first home here on Taft, even though it seems like so many significant things have happened to her here. We'll just have to show her all the photos... more here.

Lucy trying to walk made me laugh. Not at her...it just made me happy to watch her try and it was hilarious how floffly she was. I love it!

floffly! ha ha ha - that's a good way of putting it. she kind of bails as soon as she knows she is close enough to one of us. getting better every day though... crazy!
